Laser Tattoo Removal in Pictures.
For anyone who is not familiar with what to expect when you get laser tattoo removal treatment, it can often be a daunting prospect.
Perhaps your friends will wind you up with horror stories of third degree burns, and other unsubstantiated nonsense gleaned from the rumour mill of the interwebz.
Take it from me, laser tattoo removal is without doubt the safest and most effective method of tattoo removal currently available.
This is the process from start to finish, in pictures, of a laser treatment carried out by me just a few days ago in my Bangor studio.
This tattoo took maybe 2 minutes to complete, and will feel much like mild sunburn immediately after.
The hammer like action of the pulsed laser beam has broken down the ink and pigments into small particles. Over the next few weeks these will be absorbed by the client’s body and excreted through their lymphatic system.
The tattoo will now continue to fade naturally, safely, and effectively over time. All without scarring.
Honestly, it’s not as painful as your friends may have you believe! 🙂

Laser Removal Is Fast, But. . .
This particular tattoo removal has been slow progress.
There is a lot more ink involved than first appearance suggests, and its on baby soft skin.
So I’ve taken it slow and steady to avoid causing any scarring in the belly and hip areas. Spread over 10 or 12 laser sessions, it had its last treatment yesterday.
It can be incredibly frustrating when all you and the client want is the tattoo gone, but I’d sooner live with that frustration than to leave a young girl with a nasty belly scar for the rest of her days.
Slow and steady wins the race sometimes! 🙂

It’s a rare enough event for a tattoo artist to work simultaneously on a pair of twins, but for a tattoo removal specialist… what are the odds?

This piece is being prepared for a tattoo cover-up.
The laser has broken the black down nicely and the pink and light blue have gone completely already.

We are aiming towards full laser removal on this tattoo and are really happy with the results so far.
Only a small amount of outline remains to be worked on.
Both the twins and myself are very pleased with the progress of the laser treatments. Both tattoos will have faded even further by the time of our next sessions (sometime next month) and I look forward to updating this story then, hopefully with news of yet another Laser Ninja Removal Result.
Watch this space, while the odds are in my favour I’m off to buy a lottery ticket! 😀
